French classes / Cross-cultural coaching

Definition and objectives

Cross-cultural coaching sessions are NOT lectures about french culture and are NOT about giving you definite answers.

A coach aims at teaching you how to observe what is going on around you and making you ask yourself the right questions about France and the french. Finally his/ her mission is to guide you along the way of this questioning.

You should first become aware of your own habits that, quite normally, you completely take for granted and about which you end up thinking they are normal, if not universal. Then, with this new lignt cast on yourself and your culture, you will be able to take a fresh look at how the French behave. Keep in mind that there are misunderstandings on both parts. The french people you meet would probably also like to puzzle out some of your attitudes!

You can benefit from coaching if you are ready to observe and analyse your own behaviour and accept to be observed and analysed by your coach.

Eveything about the process...

Cross-cultural coaching is not just about one-to-one sessions...

All the questions you might have about cross-cultural coaching...

PLEASE NOTE:

What cross-cultural coaching aims at is NOT modifying the way you think and behave. It does not aim either at making you become « as french as possible ».

The only aim is to understand the new ways of thinking and behaving you encounter or will encounter.

A person is all the richer when two or more cultures harmoniously and peacefully co-exist in him / her.

Moreover, these sessions do not aim at making you behave perfectly. Living is not playing a part you have rehearsed.
